Will you seek the Lord, so that you will gain a deeper understanding of His word?

“Thy word O Lord, is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path. Your precepts O Lord, are right, they rejoicing the heart; Your commandments are pure, and they enlightening the eyes. I have sworn and I will confirm it, that I will keep Your righteous ordinances. Just give me a deeper understanding of Your word.” Thank you, Lord!

Do you understand what the fear of the Lord is?

Does it mean that we should be afraid of the Lord and what He will do to us? To fear the Lord means that we should respect the Lord, to honor the Lord with our substance, to reverence the Lord, to hope in the Lord. All who fear the Lord will obey His commandments and will grow in wisdom, they will know what is good, and right, and acceptable before God, to turn away from evil and do good. My hope is that all of us when faced, with trouble, temptation, want, need, persecution, sickness and any other adversity, that we would stand up and boldly say, “ I will not do this, because I fear the Lord!”

Are you knowledgeable of God’s works?

Those of us who understand the works of the Lord, should tell it out abroad, we should help the ignorant man understand, that, God’s works are to be praise, that the works of His hands are truth and justice, that His precepts are sure, and therefore should sing for joy at the works of His hands, for they are performed in truth and uprightness. Praise the Lord!

Will you submit yourself to God and let Him have His way?

Many of us wait until we have run out of options to come begging God to have His way in our lives, when we have tried everything and everything has failed us, we try God; but, my brothers and sisters in Christ, it is never too late to turn to God, you cannot be so rebellious that God cannot change your unruly minds, you are not beyond his saving grace, God is merciful and forgiving, all you need to do is to submit yourselves to God and allow Him to have His own way in your lives today. You will never regret this decision. I sure don’t.

How thankful are you?

Today is celebrated as Thanksgiving Day for a reason, but every day for us should be a day of thanksgiving. We should begin to practice giving God thanks on every hour of each day, because from the rising of the sun to its setting and even while we sleep, God continues to bless us, we could all find something to thank God for, because He is merciful towards us and continually showers us with His goodness. Thank you, Lord for my grateful heart!

Are you living by God’s righteous ways, or are you stumbling over them?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, if you are wise you will seek to understand the ways of the Lord, if you are prudent, you will want to know them; if you are discerning you will understand them; for the ways of the Lord are right, the ways of the Lord, are pure, the ways of the Lord, gives life to all those who are wise and prudent enough to follow them. The choice is yours, live by God’s ways or continue to stumble over them.

When you were slaves of sin what fruit did you gain that you are proud of? None!

My brothers and sisters in Christ, the fruits that we gained when we were slaves to sin, were shameful fruits. If you have died to sin, you can no longer live in it. You are a new creation, old things are passed away and you born again, so, put on the new self, created to be like God, in true righteousness and holiness. Praise the Lord!

Isn’t it amazing how much God has done and continue to do for us?

Do you have anything to thank God for this morning? Our awesome God, is worthy of all our praise, for all that he has done and continue to do for us. Lord, this morning, I want to thank you for saving me, I want to thank you for picking me up when I fall, I want to thank you for leading me and guiding me in your way, and I am thankful that because you died, I am born again. I am redeemed, I am accepted and I am free. Thank you, Lord!

Will you help me sing the salvation story this morning?

If Christ died to set you free, if Christ hung for you on Calvary, learn to sing the salvation story, glory, glory, glory! Come my brother, come my sister, help me sing the salvation story, let us all come before His throne and sing, glory, glory, glory!

If you call yourself a Christian, should you not utter Christ-like words from your lips?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, many of us call ourselves Christians, but when we open our mouths, our words tells another story. Scripture reminds us, that we should not let any unwholesome talk come out of our mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, and that it may benefit those who listen. Your words spoken should not be filthy, foolish, angry, evil, rotten, course or corrupt. Let us put away from us gossip and all lying and corrupt communications that stir up trouble. Let us be kind one to another in thought, word, and deed. If you call yourself a Christian try to be more Christ-like.
