What is the worry that you are afraid to let go of and give to God?

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, and with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Learn to let go, and let God. The worry that you are afraid to let go of, is the one that God is waiting to take off of your shoulders so that you could have his peace.

What benefit did you get from doing those things you used to do, that you are now ashamed of? Romans 6:21

My brothers and sisters in Christ, are you proud or ashamed of your harvest? God has given us fields to sow good seeds, so that we could be proud and not ashamed of our harvests, but, many times we lose our way, and give the devil access to these fields, where he is able to trample the good work that has been done, and instead of reaping a good harvest we then reap harvests of shame. My brothers and sisters in Christ, we must be careful of the ways in which we cultivate fields for God, because he is looking for good crops, he is expecting us to reap bountiful harvests, but our harvests could only be bountiful, if we sow good seeds. Praise the Lord!

I just want to ask you this morning, if God should come right this minute what would you want him to find you doing?

I had to ask this question this morning because of what I just witnessed. Last night, in the midst of the situation, there were people who were reveling, drunk, sleeping, cursing, and laughing, instead of calling out to God for help. And, I said God, if I am the only one praying at this time, be merciful to all of us, for Jesus Christ’s sake. My friends, I don’t want myself or you to be weighed in the scales and found deficient, so, let us pray to God this morning to help us, to be always in a state of readiness, for we know not when he will make his appearance or when he will call us home. Praise the Lord!

Why are you so reluctant to follow God’s commands?

Are you not tired and weary of your struggles? Do you ever feel the need for God in your life? My friends, if you will only begin to pay attention to the commands of the Lord, your peace will be like a river and your well-being like the waves of the sea. The time to begin is now, and the place to begin is here.

I have so much to be thankful for, where do I begin?

“Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago. Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord himself is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.”

Do you believe for one moment that God has abandoned you forever?

The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. Although you have been forsaken and hated, he said, “I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations, I will take great delight in you; in my love I will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” says the Lord!

you are mine

What is the temptation in your life that seems so hard to overcome?

Anything that you love more than God is going to control you and will be harder to overcome. My brothers and sisters in Christ, we must love God more than the desires of our hearts. Scripture reminds us of how deceitful the heart is, and we must keep this always in the forefront of our minds, and when we are faced with temptations, we must learn to seek God, find a quiet place and pray to God, to block out every other voice, but his, and then listen attentively and you will hear God’s gentle voice saying to you, walk away, walk my way, because what I have for you is much more fulfilling. Praise the Lord!

Do you feel abandoned this morning?

Be of good courage, go through your situation praising God and he will bring you through victoriously. Our God is not a deserter, our God will never leave us alone, our God, will never put us through anything that he cannot bring us out of. Trust in the Lord, believe on his faithfulness and he will surely work in your favor, all the things that have hurt you for your good. Praise the Lord!

How clean are your hands? How pure are your thoughts?

My brothers and sisters in Christ, now is not the time to look at your brother or sister and criticize them for what they have done, or what they are doing. It’s time to clean your own house. We will all have to give account of our stewardship to God. So, instead of looking for the speck in your brother’s eyes, mind how you live, mind what you do and what you say. How clean are your hands? How pure are your thoughts? If our hands are not clean and our hearts pure, and we have lifted up our souls to vanity, nothing that we do or say would be pleasing to God. God will not dwell in the homes we prepare that are built on bloodshed and wars. Praise the Lord!

Are you now able to say that it was good that you were afflicted?

We often times are not able to see the goodness of the Lord, when we are going through difficult times. All that we are able to see is the situation, we allow it to cloud God’s goodness, his mercy and his grace. But, when God brings us through them and we see just how good he has been to us, the situations that he saves us from and even sometimes from ourselves, we have no choice but to sing his praises and to shout with joy, that, it was good that I have been afflicted, because it taught me the fear of the Lord. It taught me to fully trust in God and to lean upon him in times of trouble. Thank you, Lord!
