Many of us know the voice of the Lord, our Shepherd; many of us have seen His works; but, still, we go astray in our hearts, we act as though we do not know Him, and this grieves the spirit of our God. But, know this, God did not only promised, He swore, that, if we continually go astray in our hearts, and do not follow his ways, that we will not enter into His rest.

I will fear God, not because of what He may do to me, but, because of all that He could do for me. I will fear God, because His word is truth and righteousness, those who follow Him will never stumble, those who fear His name will walk uprightly, those who fear Him will rejoice and be glad in Him. O, come, let us stand in awe of Him and bow in reverence before Him. Praise the Lord!

I have reason to believe when I awake in the morning, and that is why I express my love for God for His new mercies He sends my way. The Lord promised to provide for us and to keep us safe throughout the day and at night gives us sweet sleep. Thank you, Lord!

O Lord, create in us clean hearts and renew right spirits within us, let us not be pronounced guilty by you because of our transgressions. Lord, please lead us always in your righteousness, let nothing that we do be done because of rebelliousness. Lord, we know that you love those who walk in your ways, please lead us in your righteousness. Amen!

“But let all those rejoice who put their trust in you; let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them; let those also who love your name be joyful in you; for you O Lord will bless the righteous; you will surround him as with a shield.” Thank you, Lord!

“Be glad then you children of Zion and rejoice, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has promised that he will restore to you the years that the swarming locusts have eaten, the crawling locusts have consumes, you shall eat in plenty and be satisfied and praise the name of the Lord, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you, because you have returned to Him.” Praise the Lord!

If we call ourselves Christians, followers of God, we should be constantly doing his will, preparing for the day when He will return. We do not know the hour or the day, but we should all have our lamps trimmed and ready for when the Master comes, for He will judge us according to what we have done. When that time comes we will not want to face the wrath of God, so let’s do all that we can while we can, all for the glory of God.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, when God does something so wonderful for us, our mouths should be filled with laughter and our tongues with songs of joy. We should be not only giving thanks to God, but telling everyone just how awesome our God is. I am constantly singing God praises and some may think of it as boasting, but know that I am only boasting in the Lord, because there is nothing that I could do in my own strength; there is nothing that I could accomplish without God’s help; therefore, the praises that I sing are not for selfish gain, but all for the glory of God. I am sharing my story, so that, someone else could come to understand the goodness of my God and come to depend on Him to realize their dreams also. “The Lord has done great things for me and I am filled with joy.”

Lord, I know how far you have brought me, from sin and shame you sought me, and all through life I’ll praise your name, for Thy great Power Divine. I dare not ask for any more than you have already given, I’ll use the gifts that you have given to secure my place in heaven. Lord, for too long we have been wandering in the desert because we lack knowledge and understand of you and your precepts; for too long we have listened to false prophets who misled us, we did not try to hard enough to find you, to learn of your commandments and as a result, we have been afflicted, we hunger and thirst after righteousness, but, today Lord, we are submitting ourselves to you, seeking you; for we now understand, that, the afflicted will eat and be satisfied and those who seek the Lord will praise Him. Lord, let your word live in our hearts forever!
