Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promises is faithful. Hebrews 10:23

“Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen, therefore, let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, whatever petition we put before God, we must be patient and allow him to work his purpose out; we must not serve God with wavering faith, but ask, believing, that he who promised is faithful. “Now the just shall live by faith, but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him. But, we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of our souls.” Praise the Lord!

Lord, please hear my prayer and let my cry come unto you. Amen

Lord, teach me to be prayerful in the midst of my trials, show me how to give you thanks and praise when my burdens are heaviest, because in these times oh God I am weak, but you are strong and you promise to never leave me nor forsake me. Dear Lord, when I am facing the trials and tribulations of this life, it would be so easy for me to turn away from you, from trusting you, but today oh Lord, I realize how much I need you, that you are the great Physician, the Master Potter, and that only you could do the impossible. I am confident that my prayers have not gone unheard, and that is why I could boldly say thank you Lord for the situations that brings me to you in prayer, you have my undivided attention, so I will be still in your presence and wait for you to act. (Prayers for Everyday Living)

“Our willing service Lord to Thee, we pledge ourselves to give, for Thou has bought us with Thy blood and died that we might live.” Help us Lord!

Lord, “We pledge ourselves by grace to yield, obedience to Thy laws, devotion to Thy sacred truth, Thy kingdom and Thy cause. We pledge ourselves and all our love, to follow Thy commands, to help Thy church by word and deed and aid our pastor’s hand; be this our one supreme desire, our purpose, thought, and aim, in whatsoever we shall do, to glorify Thy name. And so we pledge ourselves to walk, that those around may see, the calm reflection of Thy light that only shines from Thee. Oh, help us Lord our pledge to keep, we need Thy constant care, to guard our hearts from every sin, our feet from every snare.” Amen!

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. Galatians 5:22

By their fruit you will recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thorn-bushes, or figs from thistles? Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. If we live by the Spirit, we should also walk by the Spirit.”

The joy of the Lord is my strength; Nehemiah 8:10 – Why then am I still weak, why is my joy not full?

The Lord is righteous in all His ways, and kind in all His deeds. The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. Yet, many of us are still in want, we still feel abandoned, unheard. My brothers and sisters in Christ, we have not, because we ask not, or ask amiss. Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you; but, it is not what you ask for, but, how you ask. Jesus said, “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask in prayer, in My name; believe that you have received it and it will be yours, but, you have not done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.” Praise the Lord!

Protect me O God, for I take refuge in you; I have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, my good above all other.” The Lord will show me the path of life. Psalm 16

“O Lord, you are my portion and my cup; it is you who uphold my lot, my boundaries enclose a pleasant land, indeed I have a goodly heritage. I will bless the Lord who gives me counsel; my heart teaches me, night after night. I have set the Lord always before me, because He is at my right hand, I shall not fall. My heart therefore is glad and my spirit rejoices, my body also shall rest in hope, for you will not abandon me to the grave, nor let your holy one see the pit. You will show me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy and in your right hand are pleasures for ever more.” Thank you, Lord!

It is always better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction.

There are so many distractions in our lives that cause us to lose our way instead of being focused on God. So today, let us pray for God’s guidance in this confusing world. “Teach my Thy way O Lord, teach me Thy way, Thy guiding grace afford, teach me Thy way, help me to walk aright, more by faith, less by sight, lead me with heavenly light, teach me Thy way. When I am sad at heart, teach me Thy way, when earthly joys depart, teach me Thy way, in hours of lonely times, in times of dire distress, in failure or success, teach me Thy way. When doubts and fears arise, teach me Thy way, when storms over spread the skies, teach me Thy way, Shine through the cloud and rain, through sorrow toil and pain, make Thou my pathway plain, teach me Thy way. Long as my life shall last, teach me Thy way, whene’re my lot is cast, teach me Thy way, until the race is run, until the journey’s done, until the crown is won teach me Thy way O Lord.”

Isn’t it amazing the things God does for us when we trust him?

“I waited patiently for the Lord and he inclined to me and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a rock and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth – praise to our God. Many will see it and fear and will trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many O Lord are your wonderful works which you have done. Your thoughts towards us cannot be recounted in order. If I would declare and speak of them, they would be more than the hairs on my head. O Lord, you yourself know that I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart. I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from others. Lord, do not withhold your tender mercies from me. Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.” Thank you, Lord!

“In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.”

When we are called by God, he tasks us, and when those tasks seem hard and we are tempted to give up, we must hold on, when we are called by God, we will be persecuted, but we must hold on, when we are called by God, we are not popular, we are viewed as the enemy, but don’t turn back, when we are called by God, he will not task us beyond our capabilities, we should persevere; because God promised ,that after we have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen us, and he will place us on a firm foundation. Thank you, Lord!

How significant is Jesus’ death on the cross to you and to me?

1 Peter 2:24 says, “And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness, by His stripes you are healed.” My brothers and sisters in Christ, nothing speaks for clearly or loudly of God’s love, but the cross of Jesus. His death on the cross is the greatest love story we could tell. Sing out your souls, then, the greatness of the Lord. He died that we might live, and now that we know his love for us, in the name of Jesus, we have the victory. Praise the Lord!
